Developer and contact

Thort (ថត) is an independent iPhone camera, composition and video-editing app developed by PHO IENG, an individual developer in Cambodia. These documents describe version 1.0.0. Bundle ID: space.iengpho.thort. For support or privacy questions, contact iengpho@gmail.com.

Using Thort

Thort is a camera, composition and video-editing tool provided by PHO IENG. Use it lawfully and respect the privacy and rights of others. These terms describe use of the app; applicable distribution licence terms also apply.

Recording responsibly

Obtain any permission required to record people, voices, property or events. Do not use the app for unlawful surveillance, harassment, or infringement of someone else’s rights. You are responsible for what you record, edit and share.

Your content

You retain your rights in your own recordings. Thort does not claim ownership of your footage. You are responsible for having the rights needed for any content you record or distribute. Exporting or sharing sends the file to the destination you choose.

Capture and storage limits

Available cameras, formats and simultaneous capture depend on your iPhone. Heat, low storage, calls, interruptions or other device conditions can stop a recording or export. Storage safeguards reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every recording will finish. Check framing and sound and keep separate copies of important videos.

Deletion and copies

Confirmed deletion from the app is permanent. Copies in Photos or another service are managed separately. Removing the app can remove local recordings and drafts. Export anything you want to keep first.

Availability and your rights

Features may change as the app develops. Uninterrupted operation or suitability for every recording situation is not guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Distribution licence

For an App Store distribution, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement applies unless a separate custom licence is supplied with that distribution. The reference link below is provided for information; viewing this page does not ask you to accept an agreement.

External cameras and other services

Connect to a camera or stream only when you own it or have permission from its operator to access and record it. A reachable address or publicly visible camera webpage alone does not establish that permission. Respect the operator's conditions and the rights of people shown. You are responsible for the stream addresses and credentials you provide. Thort does not supply third-party footage or promise that a particular camera service will remain available.

Current IP-camera scope

This version receives HTTP(S) MJPEG and HLS video. Direct RTSP, USB cameras, ONVIF discovery, remote lens controls and PTZ are not supported. An RTSP source needs a separately configured relay. IP-stream sound is not recorded; audio comes from the selected iPhone microphone. Network delay and buffering mean different sources are not synchronized at exposure time. Network loss may stop a take; reconnection does not automatically restart recording.

Privacy and help

The Privacy Policy explains local processing, permissions, IP connections, storage and exports. Questions about these terms or the app can be sent to iengpho@gmail.com. For an App Store distribution, see Apple Standard EULA. These pages do not state that the app has been approved or released on the App Store.
